Jackson Center for the Arts is happy to provide a safe and encouraging space for artists of all ages and skill levels to learn. We offer a variety of classes and activities for just about anyone to enjoy!

Youth Classes

We offer several youth classes and activities for children of all ages. See below the list of all current classes, along with their times and fees. We prefer students' parents register them ahead of time, but we welcome walk in's with open arms! The Art Place

The Art Place is a program for Creative Kids to explore a variety of art mediums at their own pace. Each week will feature different projects for students to learn. Taught by Linda Clarksean with the help of volunteers, The Art Place is one of our best classes to date.

Others

From time to time, we host one time or limited run classes for youth. Please check out our Facebook page and look at our monthly calendars for updates on when these limited classes are being hosted! If you have suggestions for classes, please reach out.

Frames

Adult Classes

We are happy to provide a work space for any adults who are interested in artistic pursuits. We currently offer many long standing class staples, as well as a variety of limited time classes. Please keep up to date with the latest happenings here on this website or on our Facebook page. We also have a column in the local paper! Class prices are listed per event, walk ins are also welcome. We have scholarships for those who need.

SPOTS

SPOTS, or the Society for the Preservation of Old Time-y Skills, is a group that meets weekly to work on enhancing skills and proficiency with fiber arts, painting, cross stitch, and many other old time-y mediums. This class is free and meets weekly on Thursdays starting in September. Check our calendar for dates and times.

 Relax and Color

The Relax and Color group meets weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM to relax with coloring, music, and good conversation. This chill group might be just what you need on a Wednesday. Gatherings are free, just bring good vibes.

Adult Watercolor

Biweekly on Sunday afternoons, we host an adult watercolor class. Taught by Cay Gjertson, this class teaches basic to advanced skill levels of watercolor painters. The fee is $10 per student, for supplies. Scholarships are available. Check our calendar for dates and times.
